Okonomi House Restaurant is a Japanese restaurant that allows their customers to experience Japanese food and ambience. ITADAKIMASU!
Hello World! We were craving for some Okonomiyaki and went to the Okonomi House Restaurant since it was ranked 1st place in Yelp Reviews.
When we entered the room, we were immediately warmly welcomed and assisted by the people who work there. After seating us at a table, we couldn't help but notice strings of red lanterns that were hung from one end of the room to the other, giving the place a traditional, yet modern, vibe. Along with 2-4 seater tables, there was a glass overlooking a bar with chairs, through which the chef can be seen working on the awesome dishes the place has to offer. Quite akin to one of those sushi places where you are seated at a table/grill and the chef cooks the sushi or other Japanese cuisine in front of you right?
Once we were seated, they gave us the menu and a paper where we were to write what we wanted to order. The menu offered dishes such as teriyaki dishes and okonomiyaki of different types, ranging from beef to pork to seafood and veggie. After placing our order and confirming it, we just patiently (and maybe impatiently due to the high anticipation) waited for our food.
Once we received our order, we immediately dug in. The Beef Teriyaki was juicy, saucy and tender. The best taste combination anyone could ever think of. Your stomach will not regret it! On the other hand, the Beef Okonomiyaki tasted really good, especially when the Mayonnaise was spread all over the okonomiyaki (who would've thought that beef and pancake complement each other?).
As a whole, the place was quaint and nice, well-equipped with friendly staff and an atmosphere that radiates a familial feel, where friends, families and colleagues can converse the day away while relishing the delicious cuisine. A MUST-VISIT!
